KROW’S BIO:
Brian Krow, Actor, Director and Writer, graduated from West Virginia
University's Theatre Program in 1999. As an Actor, Krow has starred
in more than twenty regional productions, 5 independent films
and various commercials. This past June welcomed the premiere
of his latest starring film role, "The White Room,"
a gnarly depiction of one man's journey through insanity. Now,
with ambition and inspiration in tow, he says, "I have had
the honor of becoming an Actor, a Director and a Writer. I feel
truly blessed to sit at the intersection between my deepest passions.
I have discovered the nexus between them."
WHITE ROOM:
“The White Room was an amazing experience. It was my first
opportunity to understand what it really means to carry a film.
The experience was priceless! It was fantastic to work with Laurie
(Director). Her vision of filmmaking is so passionate and precise.
She has this unconditional drive and ambition that was demonstrated
through the entire life of the project. Many filmmakers say “I
am going to make a film”, but few actually accomplish just
that. Suddenly, they find themselves inundated in a game where
only professionals play. Not Laurie Lee Goretski. She’s
a tenacious director, clearly with a full career ahead of herself.
The talented cast and crew were also absolutely incredible, and
the post guys are world-class. This project captured the true
beauty of independent filmmaking, which is a collaboration of
people’s talent, energy and passion to accomplish a film.”
My
favorite quote throughout the production, “We’ll fix
in post! Let’s move on!”
ON ACTING:
“Kevin Spacey once said, ‘being an actor sometimes
requires that you ask yourself questions you would rather not
know the answers to.’ These challenging questions present
a level of commitment and uncertainty to actors, in which I have
chosen to embrace throughout my journey. My encounters with compelling
successes and prolific defeats lend the experience and talent
to always raise the bar on stage, on camera and in life. I know
there is no limit, as long as I continue to challenge the realities
of these questions.”
Future
Projects:
Brian is currently starring in the film Soulmates.com, a story
about a dot com venture that discovers success, failure, love,
friendship and the true meaning of a ‘rich’ life in
the hyper-fast world of Silicon Valley. In August, Krow embarks
upon his juiciest role yet. Brian will be starring in the film,
God’s Country directed by Academy Award Nominee Jesse Negron.
It’s a story of two poor brothers and their families that
lose everything, and decide to move away from it all and live
off the land, not knowing what God has really planned. “I
am ecstatic about playing this role. It is a homegrown, character-driven
film. I love playing characters where the audience loves you,
then hates you, then loves you again. It is a difficult challenge,
but when you pull it off, it is extremely rewarding.”
