I have an extensive history in administrations, marketing and production
management for the film, entertainment and motorsports industries. My experience includes managing up to eight concurrent operations with a total staffing of approximately fifty professionals and 100+ associated support personnel while maintaining profit & loss responsibilities. Over a seventeen year period I was responsible for the generation and administration of nearly $500M in revenues. I also possess a technical expertise which encompasses: facility design & construction; electronic media systems design, construction and installation; computer systems design & installation.

Recent projects have included the position of Line Producer/Production Manager for a documentary on the career of James Dean and writing/producing motion picture descriptive narrations for the visually impaired. Currently I am writing production proposals and prepare production budgets on a freelance basis for independent film and television.

My formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Motion Picture & Television Production with combined Music: Theory and Graphic Arts: Video minors from UCLA and one year of graduate studies in Motion Picture Production, also UCLA. Additional education includes four years of technical schooling in computing systems and electronics: analog & digital.

Sincerely,
Urban E. Stiess
